Question One — Do I Need to Know My Birth Time and Horoscope Details?
This is the question that surprises most first-time seekers when they hear the answer. No. Agasthiya Nadi does not require your date of birth, time of birth, or any horoscope details before the session begins.
The leaf search is conducted entirely through your thumb impression and the yes and no confirmation process. The leaf already contains your birth star, your planetary positions, and every relevant astrological detail. The reader does not need you to provide this information because the leaf provides it.
This is one of the fundamental distinctions between Agasthiya Nadi and conventional Vedic astrology. A Vedic astrologer calculates your chart from the birth details you provide. A Nadi reader finds your leaf — which already contains everything — through the identification process. The leaf was written before you were born. It does not need you to supply the data it already holds.
Question Two — Is My Thumb Impression Safe? What Happens to It?
This is the question that arrives most frequently from international seekers who are new to online Nadi sessions. The concern is understandable. Biometric data carries significant weight in a world where digital privacy matters.
Here is precisely what happens to your thumb impression at our centre. The photograph you send via WhatsApp is examined by Guruji Kalaimani to identify the ridge pattern category. That pattern category determines which group of bundles we bring out for the search. Once the leaf is found and confirmed, the thumb impression photograph has served its purpose.
We do not store your thumb impression in any database. We do not share it with any third party. We do not use it for any purpose beyond the bundle identification process it was sent for. The impression is a key — used once to open the right door and not retained afterward.
It is also worth understanding what a thumb impression in the Nadi context is and is not. It is a physical pattern reader — a tool for navigating the bundle classification system. It is not a biometric identifier in the digital security sense. The bundle system predates digital technology by centuries and operates on a completely different principle.
Question Three — What If My Leaf Is Not Found?
We have addressed this in detail in a separate post, but the short answer that every first-time seeker needs before booking is this — a leaf not found on the first attempt does not mean your leaf does not exist.

The two most common reasons a leaf is not found are an unclear thumb impression photograph and imprecise confirmation responses during the search process. Both of these are correctable. If your first session does not locate your leaf, we review the process with you, identify where the search went in the wrong direction, and reschedule with the corrections in place.
Question Four — How Many Chapters Should I Book for My First Session?
This is the question where we give different answers to different seekers depending on what they tell us about their situation. But for a true first-time seeker who has never had a Nadi reading before and is not arriving with a specific urgent concern, our consistent recommendation is to begin with Chapter 1 alone.
Chapter 1 — the General Chapter — establishes the complete foundational framework of your life as written by Agasthiya. It covers the major events across each year, the primary karmic themes of this birth, the significant relationships, and the remedial directions that apply to your life overall. For a first-time seeker this alone is substantial.
Adding multiple chapters in a first session before understanding what Chapter 1 contains often creates information overload. The seeker leaves having heard a great deal but having absorbed and processed very little. We have found consistently that seekers who take Chapter 1 first, absorb it, and then return for specific chapters have a much richer experience of the reading overall.
The exception is a seeker who arrives with an urgent specific situation — a legal matter, a health concern, an imminent marriage decision, a career crossroads. In those cases booking the relevant chapter alongside Chapter 1 from the beginning makes practical sense.
Question Five — How Do I Know If the Reading I Receive Is Genuine?
This is the most important question any first-time seeker can ask and we respect every person who asks it. The prevalence of fraudulent Nadi readers — particularly online — makes this question not just reasonable but essential.
The answer we give is built on one principle. A genuine Nadi reading does not ask you for information it should be finding in the leaf. During the confirmation process, a genuine reader reads statements from the leaf and waits for your yes or no. They do not ask leading questions. They do not prompt you to share details about your life. They do not make statements that are so vague any answer could confirm them.
If a reader asks you for your date of birth, your time of birth, your parents’ names, or any other details before or during the confirmation process — that is not a genuine Nadi leaf search. That is a reader constructing a horoscope or using the information you provide to simulate a reading.
